'Standard Size' details & instructions:

Measure around your wrist, leaving a pinky between your wrist and tape measure (the typical corresponding US men's shirt size is shown in parentheses):

  • 5"-6" around: Standard Size 00 (men's XS shirts)
  • 6"-7" around: Standard Size 01 (men's S/M shirts)
  • 7"-8" around: Standard Size 02 (men's L/XL shirts)
  • Custom sizing is available on most of our bracelets for no additional charge. See below for instructions and availability.
Standard sizes are great for gifts, and we will gladly replace a standard with a custom size if available.

Custom size details & instructions:

For a bracelet sized specifically to you (and for no extra cost), follow these custom measuring instructions:
  • Instead of one of the 'Standard' sizes, select 'Custom' in that pick box.
  • Using a flexible 'Tailor's Tape' or piece of string, measure around your wrist, leaving a pinky between wrist and tape.
  • Round to the nearest 1/2" (approximate metric equivalent shown in selection box above); note that rounding down results in a more snug fit--see 'A note on stretch & measuring sizes', below, for our comments on how much you can expect Horween Leather to stretch.
  • Select your measurement in the Custom Size selection box.
Note that form•function•form bracelets are designed form a snug fit, and to accommodate the amount that new leather stretches; the above measurement instructions will provide such a fit. If you want a looser, more 'bangle' style bracelet, add length accordingly to your selected size. Expect brand new bracelets to fit a little tight, and then stretch.

A note on stretch & measuring sizes:

Leather stretches--but not on its own, like an old rubber band. We have attempted to size our products to take the stretch into account, and still result in a product that fits appropriately. Different types of our leathers may stretch more (and differently) than others, depending on their own qualities (type of animal, location on hide, etc.), and the method in which they were finished at the tannery. Here are our thoughts and observations on leathers that we work with regularly:
  • Chromexcel (Natural, Ink, Black, etc.) tanned leathers stretch markedly: an average sized bracelet can easily be stretched almost 3/4 of an inch with limited force. Chromexcel often takes on a slightly lighter color when stretched.
  • Veg Tan leathers 'give' slightly less than Chromexcel, but sill move noticably--especially when wet. Stretched Veg Tan typically retains the same color as unstretched.
  • Latigo leathers stretch very, very little, due to their tight grain and tanning processes.
  • Shell Cordovan leathers exhibit minimal stretch compared to the veg tan and chromexcel, due to the unique structure of the leather. They will, however, move slightly with time and pressure--an average bracelet-sized strip of Cordovan can gain just under 1/4" in length with limited, intentional force; this is why our Original Custom Button-Stud Watchband is tight at first, and stretches to fit perfectly after one or two wearings.
  • Russet leathers stretch very little, if at all.
With that said, if you are not happy with the size shipped to you, please refer to our Return Policies page for return shipping, replacement, or refund instructions.

Currently, all form•function•form products are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service (excepting an occasional FedEx express shipment at customer request--see bottom of page). We continually review our shipping methods to ensure we have selected the ideal balance between cost, speed, and reliability. Below are our current options & policies, subject to change as our knowledge evolves.
Shipping within the United States (including APO/FPO Military addresses and US Territories):
  • FREE Economy Shipping, and FREE Return Shipping ($0.00): 6-9 days (conservative estimate). Via USPS First Class Mail. The delivery times can vary slightly; sometimes as fast as priority, sometimes a couple days longer. If you have any problems with your order, or wish to return it, contact us for a return label at no additional cost to you (check out our pretty damn liberal return policies).
  • Upgraded ($6.00, free with $200.00 order): 5-6 days (conservative estimate). Via USPS Priority Mail. All orders over $150 receive free upgraded shipping. Be sure to select the appropriate option when your order totals over $200.
  • Expedited ($20.00): NEXT day (depending on USPS restrictions to your address). Via USPS Express Mail. Expedited orders jump to the head of the line, and are crafted and shipped the same day as your order (unless there is physically no way to get to the post office on time). To check on actual shipping time to your location, visit the USPS Express Mail Service Commitments calculator--our zip code is 32804.
Shipping outside the United States: Note: all delivery times are estimates, and completely can vary, based on your country's customs offices. We include appropriate paperwork, but sometimes things just take an inexplicably long time to clear customs, and there is unfortunately absolutely nothing we can do to hurry the process along.
  • Economy shipping ($6.00 to Canada, $10.00 elsewhere): 10-30+ days (customs dependent). Via USPS First Class International. While a low cost alternative, customers are advised that we have experienced a HIGH variation in delivery times: for example, two identically sized packages left our studio within one week of each other, both bound for the Netherlands. One package was there in three days, while the other took almost a month due to Dutch customs inexplicably taking a very long time. We have only ever had one package lost, though (or perhaps it is STILL in transit?)...so, if you don't mind the possibility of waiting, Economy is a good low-cost option.
  • Upgraded ($20.00 to Canada, $25.00 elsewhere, free with $200.00 order): 10-15 days (customs dependent). Via USPS Priority Mail International. While this method, of course, also must go through customs (and is therefore subject to delays outside of our control, it tends to be faster than Economy. All orders over $200 receive free upgraded shipping. Be sure to select the appropriate option when your order totals over $200.
  • Expedited ($30.00 to Canada, $40.00 elsewhere): 4-7 days (customs & country dependent). Via USPS Express International. Expedited orders jump to the head of the line, and are crafted and shipped the same day as your order (unless there is physically no way to get to the post office on time)
